Threshing

This threshing picture captures the chaff (straw dust) flying around.  It looks great in the picture, but it is not pleasant to experience.

As a young boy of 10 years old, I used to help my father around the threshing.  Many days later your could still feel the itching and irritation it caused.  It felt bad at the time, but the memories are good memories now.   Many of my generation would feel the same, although those that had to make a living doing the work may not feel the same.
